CBS Records

CBS Records is a unit of CBS Entertainment that signs and develops recording artists, and offers an alternative approach to introducing them to the marketplace through integrating their music into programming on the CBS Television Network. Additionally, the new music venture capitalizes on the powerful marketing reach of CBS Corporation's diverse portfolio of mass media platforms, including The CW, Showtime, CBS Television Distribution, CBS Interactive, and many more, to promote its music and talent directly to consumers.

Music by CBS Records artists is consistently utilized prominently in CBS/CW programming, and the label’s first soundtrack release – NCIS: The Official TV Soundtrack – is one of the top-selling television soundtracks in the country. Distribution of the label’s music is secured through agreements with an array of outside partners, including RED Distribution in North America. The new CBS Records is not related to the former CBS Records business or its artists or assets, which were acquired by Sony in 1988.

10 memorable things about my tour in Germany.

By Keaton Simons

1. Delicious food especially Schnitzel and Currywurst. Beyond that everything is just so fresh and lovingly prepared. Even the side of the road rest stop food was incredible. Fresh produce, yogurt, fresh baked breads and pastries, olive oils, etc.

2. Amazing new fans! People really appreciate music there. I really felt the impact.

3. The language is gorgeous, intriguing, and hilarious. For example: the word in German for drive is… FAHRT! There are also some extremely long words in German. In fact, a game that Germans like to play is to see who can come up with the longest word.

Example:   LUFTWAFFENAUSBILDUNGSREGIMENTSHAUPTMANN!!!

4. Hangin’ with the Hell’s Angels. They pretty much run Hamburg. They can be found feeding the ducks, seeking out live music, and enjoying charming BBQs with their families. Just don’t get on their bad side.

5. The amazing team of people who took care of everything. Especially the magnificently talented Jimmy Cornett!

6. The clubs, bars, and music venues are fantastic. Especially the famous Downtown Blues Club. Everything about that place is awesome! Make sure to try the Schnitzel, it was my favorite of all time.

7. They have the most delicious alkoholfrei (non-alcoholic) beer! I LOVE beer but I haven’t had any alcohol in over 8 years so this was heavenly for me.

8. The Reeperbahn, Hamburg’s red light district. Crazy debauchery 24/7 with amazing music everywhere!

9. People referring to themselves as Hamburgers in total seriousness having no idea why that’s funny to me. That will never get old.

10. Driving (aka Fahrting) on the Autobahn. No speed limit!
